What can you expect?
You can look forward to a unique and breathtaking experience. However, sometimes questions arise, which I will try to answer here.
How does my tandem flight work?
Meeting point
You will be contacted by me by 20:00 the evening before at the latest. You will find out which area we will be flying in. I will also give you all the necessary information about the meeting point and time.
Duration
Depending on which offer has been booked and in which area we are flying, you should allow at least 2 hours for the whole experience (from the meeting point to landing).
Accompaniment
If you would like to bring an accompanying person, they can of course come with you to the launch site. However, this person must decide whether they want to watch the take-off or the landing. In most areas there will not be enough time for both.
What clothing should I wear?
Footwear
To prevent foot and ankle injuries, you should wear the sturdiest footwear possible. Hiking boots that reach at least above the ankles are suitable. Ultimately, everyone is responsible for their own clothing.
General clothing
Dress appropriately for the season and add one item of clothing that would normally keep you too warm. It is usually cooler when flying. I don’t want you to freeze. It rarely gets too warm in the wind during a flight.
Windproof jackets are very good, as are windproof trousers for cooler days.
In autumn, winter and spring, I also recommend a pair of warm and tear-resistant gloves.
To make sure you can see everything, I recommend wearing sunglasses. That way you'll be well dressed and ready for your adventure!
How much am I allowed to weigh as a passenger?
For safety reasons, only passengers weighing a maximum of 110 kg are allowed to fly. On the one hand, the paraglider has a take-off weight specified by the manufacturer, which must be strictly adhered to. On the other hand, it is important that the passenger can walk well in order to take off successfully.
Is there an age limit?
I fly with passengers between the ages of 6 and 95.
A basic requirement is that you must be able to take a few quick steps. For children, I have a special children's harness that is extra small and designed to be suitable for children.
For children and young people under the age of 18, I need a written declaration of consent from their parents.
Do I need any previous knowledge?
You don't need any previous experience to fly with me.
Is it allowed to take my mobile phone and/or camera with me?
You may take photos of the beautiful view at the launch site. For safety reasons, you are not allowed to use your mobile phone/camera during the flight.
I have space on board to safely store your valuables.
How do I get my photos/videos?
I will take some photos/videos of your experience. I can load these directly onto your mobile phone after the flight using an adapter and you will have your memories in your pocket.
Is a paragliding tandem flight safe?
The Swiss Hang Gliding Association (SHV) regulates the safe practice of delta and paragliding in Switzerland on behalf of the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (BAZL).
I (owner Noel Roje) have passed all SHV examinations and am a qualified tandem pilot. I have the necessary experience to give you a safe and unforgettable adventure.
My equipment is regularly serviced to offer you maximum safety.
You can find more details in the terms and conditions.
Can I fly all year round?
Yes, you can fly at any time of year. Every season has its own impressions and beauty.
However, there are usually more flight days in spring and summer than in autumn and winter.
Can I take luggage with me?
Yes, you can take a small day rucksack (max. 18 litres) with you. This will be stowed safely and compactly for the flight.
However, make sure that you only take the essentials with you. It is better to leave everything else in the car or in a locker at the respective railway station/valley station.
How do I get to the starting point?
I will let you know the evening before (by 20:00) where we are meeting. After the meeting point, we will take the mountain railway to the starting point.
You pay for the mountain railway ticket on site or, if possible, via the SBB app (not possible everywhere).
It is an advantage if you have cash with you. Some cable cars only accept cash.
What happens in bad weather?
As a rule, I will inform you the evening before about the definitive organisation. However, the weather in the Swiss Alps can sometimes change very quickly. If the pilot believes that safety on the day of the flight is at risk, the flight will be cancelled. In this case, we can of course find a new date together.
If we do not find a new date, the flight price will be refunded.
